The Elite16 competition is the highest level of the Beach Pro Tour with the top 16 teams per gender of the world in fierce competition to maintain their position within this group.

The competition is held in four pools of four teams followed by a Round of 12, quarterfinals, semifinals and matches for gold, silver and bronze.

Teams per gender: 16
Qualification Tournament: Up to 16 teams
First phase: Four pools of four teams each; top team advances to quarterfinals, second and third teams progress to Round of 12
Second phase: Round of 12 followed by quarterfinals, semifinals, bronze medal match, final
Duration: 5 days of competition (including qualifications)
Prize purse: USD 300,000 (USD 150,000 per gender)
